A recap of the latest youth group project from Lyn!
Back in July when the St. Olaf youth participated in the Boundless mission trip, they went to Global Health Ministry (GHM). GHM is a group that organizes donated medical supplies to be shipped around the world. They are dependent on volunteers to help process all the supplies for each shipment going overseas. During MEA, St. Olaf had 16 youth, 7 adults, and 5 cars travel to Fridley, Minnesota to volunteer to Global Health Ministry. We spent a little over four hours working on the tasks that needed to be done. Upon arriving the facility, we toured the different departments that sorts all the supplies. We divided in to three different groups to do tasks. The younger youth spent most of the time folding gowns and stuffing pillowcases. A smaller group separated a newly donated box of plastic supplies into like items, boxing them together with a count of each item.
